The Signor lab is currently hiring at all levels: Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Graduate Student, and Lab Manager
We are primarily looking for trainees interested in studying the co-evolutionary dynamics between transposable elements and their hosts but the specific project is open to discussion. The lab works in model and non-model Drosophila, as well as some projects in solitary bees. Our lab is wet and dry, but the primary focus is bioinformatics.
Postdoctoral scholars - Reach out to PI Signor with a copy of your CV and a description of your research interests. Background in TEs is not necessary but you must have some experience in bioinformatics.
Graduate students - Reach out to PI Signor with a copy of your CV and the names of three references. Experience with Drosophila and bioinformatics is not necessary, just a willingness to learn and enthusiasm for the research topic.
Lab manager - Any recently graduated student in the field of biology can apply. Reach out to PI Signor with a copy of your CV.
